Research guides and annotated examples
PlannedPractical materials will address research questions, the fit between questions and methods, use of sources, interpretation of findings and the writing of abstracts and manuscripts. Annotated examples will explain the reasoning behind a revision. We intend these materials to be openly accessible.
A voluntary manuscript development workspace
In developmentThe planned AI-assisted workspace will help authors examine drafts and identify possible scientific, methodological and presentation issues. Development reports are intended to describe strengths, prioritise concerns and suggest a revision plan. Authors will be able to revise and compare feedback across versions.
AI-generated suggestions require checking. The workspace will not provide official peer review, an ISPC acceptance score or a certificate of publication readiness. It will remain separate from conference submission and official decisions.
Learning to review research
PlannedMaterials and exercises will help researchers write fair, well-reasoned reviews. Topics include applying criteria, prioritising concerns, recognising conflicts of interest and giving constructive feedback. Exercises will use suitable fictional or authorised examples. Taking part will not automatically confer an official reviewer role.
Workshops and mentoring
Future developmentWe envisage focused workshops and opportunities to discuss methods or responses to reviews. Individual mentoring will depend on suitable mentors and available capacity. No places or start dates are currently announced here.
Scientific exchange and recognition
The ISPC community offers a foundation for scientific exchange beyond the annual conference. We envisage methods discussions, learning groups, joint research projects and opportunities to share experience throughout the year. Development continues after publication: new questions and collaboration can grow from the work already shared. The Young Scientist Award can recognise scientific work; eligibility and selection details belong to each edition’s announcement.
Communicating research to practice
Future developmentPlanned materials and exchanges will help researchers explain findings to practitioners without overstating them. Possible formats include short research briefs and discussions of responsible digital transformation, practical implications and limits.
For experienced researchers and institutions
We envisage contributions through research guides, reviewer development, mentoring and methodological exchange. Materials should be maintained and knowledge passed on to future contributors. Partnerships and roles will be announced after responsibilities and capacity have been agreed.
Your choice, at every stage
You decide whether to use AI assistance, which recommendations to follow and which version represents your work. You then submit that version independently to the conference, journal or publisher of your choice.
